Liverpool once again playing like an in-form team beats PSV Eindhoven 1-0 to enter into the semi final of UEFA Champions League. As Liverpool was already leading 3-0 because of their brilliant first leg performance, victory was just a formality but they did not show any complacency and defended pretty hard. Striker Peter Crouch who recently scored a hatrick against Arsenal scored the only goal of the match. This victory means that Liverpool will now face Chelsea in the semi final and what a cracker of match it is going to be.
Earlier, despite needing minimum of 4 goals to enter into the semi final, PSV surprisingly opted for a defensive route and was more focused on defense rather than playing an attacking brand of football and scoring some goals. On the other hand, Liverpool despite having a 3-goal cushion looked lively through out the match. Peter Crouch has an excellent game as a striker while goal keeper Jose Reina too saved quite a lot of chances.
